Save It or Shave It

And while the Save It side was winning by about $400 this morning, by this evening SHAVE IT had won! $2300 total dollars raised, with $1250 to Shave It, and $1050 to Save It! Whew Hoo! Want to see the beard come off? Click Here.

We also managed to pack a multitude of boxes as well as begin stuffing some more, so we ended up with about 850 completed boxes, with 150 more needing to be packed.

It was such a fun night, and a great display of Christ's love and the church acting out that love. 

We had a few intense moments at the end of the night, as I think our inkling about God preparing us for something even more difficult seems to be surfacing.

We've struggled through multiple people coming through our group that have caused disturbances. Our most recent being a girl that isn't quite aware of socially acceptable interactions, and us learning to show her how to love other people properly and appropriately. There's a lot more to it than that, but that's a large jist of it. 

Now we've got someone who is mentally and physically struggling to pull himself away from drugs. Something not many of us have dealt with. So thankful that God can use people's past struggles though, and that's he's placed just the right people in the right place for that task.
